Our law firm has helped thousands of people during difficult recovery periods following an accident and injury. For more than twenty years, our legal team has been helping people who are hurt. But we also know that our communities are among the best in the country as well, which is why we tirelessly give back to them.
Our attorneys have provided numerous public services and worked with nonprofit and charity organizations in many ways. Some examples include the following.
My Hometown Fest
In April of 2017, our firm sponsored the second annual "My Hometown Fest", which supports the Sertoma Kids Clinic and the Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota. We helped raise $25,000 in support to help children and others in the community who suffer with speech, hearing, or language disabilities.
Westcoast School for Human Development
Our lawyer, David L Goldman, sponsored this banquet in March of 2017, focusing on those who provide education to those students who may otherwise struggle to receive a solid foundation of learning.
Sarasota Bay Watch
Our senior partner Stephan M Fernandez works throughout the year as part of the board of the Sarasota Bay Watch, a group that focuses on protecting our state's fragile ecosystem and raising money for conservation efforts throughout the Sarasota bay area.
Friends of Selby Public Library
Our attorney Michele Stephan is a board member of the Selby Public Library and spends time each year organizing outreach programs and fundraising to keep the library open and available to everyone.
Sarasota Pride
Our lawyers also support the Sarasota Pride Festival, believing that all Florida residents are equal. We have sponsored for years, believing that the organization's efforts at eliminating prejudice and discrimination is more important now than ever before.
And these are just a few standout examples. Over the year, we also make donations and connect and work with numerous other organizations based in Florida including:
- West Coast Black Church And School
- Sarasota Chapter of the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation
- Second Chance Last Opportunity
- West Coast Black Troupe
And we also connect with the local government to promote legislation in the interests of residents, protecting them from big corporate interests. While we're most well known for our work in the courts, getting our clients what they deserve after an accident, we believe that supporting new laws to reduce accidents and to advocate for those who may be at risk is important as well.
We'll keep fighting for our clients, but make no mistake - we carry on our fight for justice for Florida residents throughout the year in numerous ways. We love our community and the people in it, and we take pride in standing up for everyone here and their rights.
