18 Year Old Woman In Critical Condition After I-75 Crash Near Bonita Springs

BONITA SPRINGS FL – Florida Highway Patrol reported two people have been injured in a crash at mile marker 117 on northbound Interstate 75 near Bonita Springs.

The crash took place as an 18 year-old woman from Naples FL was driving a sedan northbound in the center lanes of I-75 north of Bonita Beach Road Friday evening.

Traveling next to the sedan was a 44-year-old man from Lehigh Acres driving a sport utility vehicle.

At 7:30 PM, the sedan began to move out of it’s lane and the right front of the sedan crashed into the left rear of the SUV.

The collision caused the SUV to rotate off the highway where the SUV overturned, before finally coming to a stop on the grass median facing east.

The sedan came to a stop on the grass median facing west.

Both the 18-year-old woman and the 44-year-old man were transported to hospitals in critical condition after the crash. The report did not state if charges would be filed.
