22 Year-Old North Port Man Dies In Crash On I-75 South Of Clark Road
SARASOTA FL - FHP announced one person has died after being involved in single-car crash Monday morning on interstate 75 at mile marker 202.
The accident took place Monday morning roughly 3 miles south of Clark Road (State Road 72) in Sarasota as a 22 year old Man from North Port was driving a 1997 Chevrolet sedan northbound on I-75 in the left lane.
At 10:04 AM the driver lost control of the car and the car spun traveling off the east side roadway onto the grassy shoulder where the left side of the car crashed into a palm tree.
The sedan came to a stop facing north after colliding with the tree.
Sarasota County Emergency Management Services arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver deceased.
Florida Highway Patrol has stated the crash remains under investigation.
