Bicyclist Dies After Being Hit By Car On 776 In Englewood
Englewood - Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one person has died after a bicycle accident in Englewood, Sarasota County Early Tuesday Morning.
According to the report by FHP, the fatal accident began as a sedan, driven by a 76-year-old man from Englewood, Florida was traveling south on State Road 776, on the right lane, north of West Palm Grove Avenue.
As the sedan approached, a man of unknown age was riding a bicycle and attempting to cross the travel lanes of state road 776, in front of the approaching sedan.
At 6:35 A.M. The front of the sedan collided with the bicyclist.
The Pedestrian, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
At the time of this writting, the deceased bicyclist has not yet been identified, and FHP has stated that the crash remains under investigation.
