Bicyclist Killed Attempting To Cross Cortez Rd Saturday Night In Bradenton
Manatee County - Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one person has died after they are hit on their bicycle in Manatee County Saturday Night.
According to the report by FHP, the fatal crash began as a Van driven by a 53-year-old man from Neosho City, Missouri with a 39-year-old male passenger from Bradenton, Florida was traveling east on State Road 684 (Cortez Road), west of 20th Street West.
At 8:55 P.M. A Bicyclist a 59-year-old man from Bradenton, Florida was traveling south, attempting to cross the travel lanes of State Road 684 (Cortez Road) near 20th Street west.
The front of the van collided with the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was transported to Blake Medical Center and later pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation.
