Bradenton Motorcyclist Dies In Crash On 3rd Avenue Northeast After Losing Control
BRADENTON FL - Florida Highway Patrol announced that one person has died after losing control of his motorcycle and running a stop sign Saturday Night.
According to the report the crash occurred as a 38-year-old man from Bradenton was riding a motorcycle westbound on 3rd Avenue Northeast approaching a stop sign at the intersection of Upper Manatee River Road Northeast.
As the motorcyclist closed on the intersection, two other vehicles were approaching traveling north on Upper Manatee River Road Northeast, a Sport Utility driven by a 38-year-old woman from Parrish with a teenaged boy passenger, followed by a 60-year-old man from Bradenton driving a sedan.
At 8:21:00 PM, the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection. The motorcyclist entered the intersection driving from 3rd Avenue Northeast onto Upper Manatee River Road Northeast and into the path of the oncoming SUV.
The front of the Sport Utility Vehicle collided with the side of the motorcycle, and the force of the impact threw the motorcyclist from his vehicle, where he came to a rest on the northbound lanes of Upper Manatee River Road Northeast.
Despite wearing a helmet during the accident the motorcyclist was fatally injured in the collision.
First responders pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene of the crash.
FHP has stated that the crash remains under investigation.
