Bradenton Pedestrian Died After Being Hit By Car Near Whitfield
BRADENTON -FHP reported a man has died after being hit by a car while crossing US 41 Wednesday Night.
The accident happened as a 61-year-old Man from Bradenton was walking in lanes of travel on southbound US 41 in the outside lane, north of the intersection with Peal Avenue in the Whitfield area.
As the man was walking on the roadway, a car driven by a 28-year-old woman from Bradenton was approaching from the north, also in the outside lane.
At 8:32:00 PM the car encountered the man in the road and the front of the sedan crashed into the pedestrian.
After the crash, both the struck pedestrian and the car came to a stop in the area of the accident.
The man was fatally injured in the crash, and FHP has stated the accident remains under investigation.
