Bradenton Pedestrian Dies From Injuries After Car Strike On US 41
BRADENTON - Florida Highway Patrol announced a pedestrian has died after being struck by a car on US 41 in Brandenton earlier in January.
The crash took place very early January 3rd as a 24-year-old man from Bradenton was walking in the lane of travel on the northbound lanes of US 41 south of 51st Avenue Drive West very early in the morning.
As the pedestrian walked northbound in the lane, a 31-year-old man from Bradenton was driving northbound in a sedan approaching the pedestrian.
At 2:40:00 AM the sedan encountered the pedestrian walking in the middle of the road, and the front of the car crashed into the pedestrian.
After the accident, the pedestrian was taken to Blake Medical Center for treatment with critical injuries.
FHP announced the injured pedestrian later died of his injuries on January 14th.
The crash remains under investigation.
