Bradenton Woman & Two Others Injured In Overturned Vehicle Crash US On 41
Bradenton Florida, - UPDATED JULY 28 - Florida Highway Patrol reported that one person was injured after a crash on US 41 in Bradenton Saturday night.
The accident happened as 27 year old Rafael Palacios of Bradenton, and his passenger, 37 year old Carlos Hernandez Galvin of Myakka City, were driving southbound on US 41 in a 1998 Honda Civic approaching the intersection with 54th Avenue West.
At the same time 81 year old Irin Lapidus of Bradenton, was driving northbound in a 2007 Nissan Quest mini-van approaching Palacios from the south.
At approximately 8:50 P.M. Hernandez crossed the center turn lane and entered the path of the oncoming Nissan Quest.
The two vehicles collided at speed and the force of the crash overturned the minivan. Palacios was critically injured in the crash and transported to Blake Medical center for treatment. His passenger Carlos Galvin suffered minor injuries and was taken to Blake Medical Center. Driver Irin Lapidus was seriously injured and also taken by first-responders to Blake Medical Center.
FHP has stated that the accident remains under investigation.
