Cyclist Dies After Being Struck By A Vehicle In Bradenton Friday Afternoon
MANATEE COUNTY - A bicyclist has died after being struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon in West Bradenton.
The crash took place near the intersection of Manatee Avenue West and 55th Street West, Friday afternoon, as a vehicle traveling eastbound on Manatee Avenue West collided with a bicyclist.
The impact knocked the cyclist onto the roadway fatally injuring them.
Bradenton Police responded to the crash, and the cyclist was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was unharmed in the crash, and cooperating with police.
Both eastbound lanes were closed to traffic and one westbound lane was closed as Bradenton Police investigated the accident.
