Deadly Head-On Crash On County Road 675 Near Myakka City

Myakka City, Manatee County – Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 33-year-old man from Myakka city was killed in a crash involving a sport utility vehicle and a Pickup Truck near Myakka city at the intersection of FL-64 and County Road 675.

In addition, a 28-year-old man from Bradenton city who was the driver of the pickup truck, as well as a 39-year-old male passenger, were also involved in the accident.

The crash occurred as the SUV was traveling south along Country Road 675, north of State Road 64  negotiating a left curve.

At the same time the Medium Duty Pickup truck was traveling north on County Road 675, and north of State Road 64 negotiating a right curve.

At 4:42:00 AM, The SUV crossed the centerline and at the time the Pickup truck was traveling towards the intersection with both vehicles colliding in opposite directions. The front left of the SUV collided with the front of the Pickup truck. The 33-year-old driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. Both the driver and passenger of the pickup truck had received minor injuries.

As of now, the crash remains under investigation.  The report also states that all parties wore seat belts during the time of the accident.
