Goldman, Babboni, Fernandez & Walsh Co-sponsors Scholarship Luncheon
The law firm of Goldman, Babboni, Fernandez & Walsh co-sponsored a local scholarship luncheon this past Saturday in Sarasota. Each year The Light of the World Church honors the memory of educator A. Jean Battie by hosting an annual fundraising luncheon. Among the other notable sponsors were the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and The Brunckhorst Foundation.
The scholarship is based on an essay writing contest with three scholarship winners being selected each year. This is the 7th year of the scholarship fund which was founded by Hank Battie.
Attorney David Goldman of the law firm attended the event with his wife Rachel Goldman. Mrs. Goldman also serves as a member of the scholarship committee. The law firm has sponsored the event for several years.
