Hit-And-Run Semi Truck Seriously Injures Bradenton Pedestrian
Palmetto FL - Florida Highway Patrol reported one person was seriously injured after being struck by a semi-trailer, Wednesday night.
The crash took place as a 57-year-old, man from Bradenton was walking with the flow of traffic in the bicycle lane along southbound US 41 north just north of 113th Street East.
As the man continued on down the road, a red semi-tractor trail pulling a white trailer was approaching from behind.
At 11:45:00 PM the semi-truck overtook the pedestrian and the right front portion of the trailer collided with the man.
After crashing into the pedestrian, the driver of the semi-truck fled the scene continuing on US 41 southbound.
