Man Dies After Rear-Ending Tractor-Trailer On I-75 In Charlotte
CHARLOTTE COUNTY - Florida Highway Patrol announced a man has died after crashing into the back of a semi-tractor trailer Monday afternoon.
The accident happened as a 72-year-old man from Ava Maria FL was driving a sedan on southbound Interstate 75 near mile marker 169.
Ahead of the sedan was a semi tractor-trailer tanker truck being driven by a 49-year-old man from Seffner Florida.
At 12:41:00 PM, the sedan failed to slow for traffic ahead and crashed into the back of the tanker truck.
After the collision, the sedan came to a stop on the southbound lanes of I-75.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
