One Man Dies, Another Seriously Injured And Passenger Hospitalized After Serious Accident On County Road 675


Myakka City, Manatee County – Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one person has died, another person is seriously injured and a passenger has been hospitalized after an auto accident in Manatee County Thursday Afternoon.

According to the report by FHP, the fatal accident began as a van, driven by a 45 year-old-man from Bradenton, Florida was traveling north on County Road 675, south of 49th Avenue East.

Meanwhile, a second van driven by an 81-year-old- man from Arcadia, Florida with a passenger age 39 also from Arcadia, Florida, was traveling south on County Road 675, south of 49th Avenue East.

The first van driven by the 45 year-old-man from Bradenton, Florida crossed the center line and entered the path of the other van.

The front left of the first van collided with the front left of the second van.

The driver of the second van, the 81 year-old-man from Arcadia, Florida was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The driver of the first van and the passenger of the second van were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
