HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY –  The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced an 18 year-old student from Armwood High School has died, and two other teenagers were injured after being involved in a car crash in plant city Monday night.

The accident took place Monday evening as a 2004 Ford Expedition was traveling at excessive speeds in the eastbound lanes of Ralston Road, driven by a 16 year old. Also riding in the Sport Utility Vehicle were two other passengers, a 18 year old student from Armwood High School, and a 19 year old.

At 11:45 p.m. the speeding the SUV approached the intersection with County Line road, where the Ford Expedition ran over a speed bump causing the driver to loose control.

After loosing control the SUV traveled off the roadway and collided with a tree, the sudden deceleration from the impact ejected the 18 year old passenger from the SUV.
