Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Car On 15th Street East In Bradenton
Bradenton - Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one person has died after being hit by a car in Manatee County early Tuesday morning.
According to the report by FHP, the fatal crash began as a Buick sedan, driven by a 46-year-old man from Bradenton, Florida was traveling south on 15th Street East approaching 57th Avenue East.
A pedestrian, a 42-year-old man from Pembroke Pines Florida, was walking within the roadway of 15th Street East under the cover of darkness without any reflective material or flashlight.
At 5:27 A.M. The Buick sedan struck the Pedestrian with the front of the sedan. The pedestrian came to final rest within the southbound travel lane of 15th Street East.
The Buick sedan came to a controlled stop on the southbound shoulder of 15th Street East.
The Pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene by Manatee County EMS.
The Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash.
