Pedestrian Killed In Fatal Bradenton Tractor Trailer Hit & Run On 64
HOLMES BEACH FL - Florida Highway Patrol has announced that a man has died in a fatal Tractor Trailer accident in Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island near Bradenton on Monday afternoon.
The crash happened as the unknown driver was operating a towing tractor trailer while driving west on State Road 64 approaching the intersection at State Road 789. At the same time the 61 year old male Pedestrian was traveling with a bicycle east on the northern sidewalk while approaching the bridge of State Road 64.
At 2:27 P.M the man fell off the bicycle and fell on the Westbound lane of State Road 64 and as the Truck was traveling on it’s path the right rear portion of the truck collided with the pedestrian while it continued to travel west on State Road 64.
The vehicle was described as being an unknown colored truck towing a red fork lift trailer.
The 61 year old was transported to a local hospital on the 20th and later died as a result of his injuries on the 22nd.
