Sarasota Man Dies After Crash At Residence On Antoinette Street

SARASOTA – FHP has announced a man has died after being involved in a crash Wednesday night.

The crash began as a 48-year-old man from Sarasota was driving a 2016 Ford motor vehicle traveling westbound on Antoinette Street, near the intersection with Ray Street.

At 9:12 pm, for reasons not stated in the report, the vehicle traveled off the roadway swerving to the left and onto a residential property located on the southern side of Antoinette Street, east of Ray Street.

After leaving the roadway and entering the property the vehicle collided with a landscape bed and water line, then continued forward through a drainage ditch where it traveled on the property of another residence and crashed into the right rear side of an unoccupied 2015 Honda parked at the property.

The force of the collision pushed the second vehicle into the structure of the home damaging the house, luckily however no one was injured in the home.

The report states that the driver of the Ford was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital where, tragically they were pronounced deceased.

FHP has stated that the accident remains under investigation.
