Sarasota SUV Accident Leaves Child With Serious Injuries On University Parkway
Sarasota County - Florida Highway Patrol has announced that One Child Has Been Seriously Injured After A Car Accident In Sarasota Sunday Morning.
According to the report by FHP, the serious accident began as a sport utility vehicle driven by a 32-year-old man from Bradenton was traveling west in the left turn lane, on University Parkway, approaching the intersection of Legacy Drive with several passengers. The passengers in the SUV were a 6-year-old girl from Bradenton, a 33-year-old woman from Bradenton, and a 54-year-old woman also from Bradenton, Florida.
A second Sport Utility vehicle driven by a 42 year-old-man from Skokie, Il. with a 48-year-old woman also from Skolie, Il. were traveling east on the left lane on University Parkway, approaching the intersection of Legacy Drive.
The first sport utility vehicle failed to yield and turned into the path of the second sport utility vehicle. The front of the second sport utility vehicle collided with the side of the first sport utility vehicle.
The 6 year-old girl sustained serious injuries and was transported to All Children’s Hospital in Tampa for treatment.
FHP has stated that this crash remains under investigation.
