SUV Causes Power Outage In Englewood After Crashing Into Pole Seriously Injury Driver
Charlotte County - FHP has announced that a woman was seriously injured after losing control of her sport utility vehicle Wednesday night and hitting a telephone pole, then hit a fence on Wilmington Boulevard approaching Coliseum Boulevard.
The crash began as a 52 year-old-woman from Englewood, Florida, was traveling north on Willmington Boulevard, approaching Coliseum Boulevard in Charlotte County.
At 8:11 P.M., the SUV then veered off the roadway to the right and then collided with a telephone pole on the north shoulder of the roadway.
The SUV then continued to travel north and then collided with a fence on private property nearby.
The injured Englewood woman was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
Due to the impact of the SUV hitting the telephone pole, electrical power was out in the area for an extended amount of time due to the downed power pole.
