SARASOTA COUNTY - Florida Highway Patrol announced that a crash involving 4-vehicles and 7 people on Interstate-75 has blocked traffic on the highway.
The crash occurred as a 53-year-old man from Osprey was driving a pickup truck towing a trailer with a shed on it, on the left lane of northbound I-75 followed by a 25-year-old man from Apollo Beach driving a sedan.
Behind the two vehicles in the center lane was a 28-year-old woman from Tampa driving a Sport Utility Vehicle, and a 33-year-old man from Homestead FL driving a car with 3 passengers.
At 12:15:00 AM Friday morning, the driver from Apollo beach collided with the trailer towed by the pickup truck. The collision caused the retailer to separate from the truck.
After being separated from the truck the trailer traveled across the lanes and crashed into the Sport Utility driven by the 28-year-old woman from Tampa.
The sedan following the SUV swerved to avoid crashing into the Sport Utility Vehicle and collided with the trailer.
The Trailer came to a stop blocking several lanes on Interstate-75. Thankfully noone was hurt in the accident.
