Two People Dead And Three Seriously Injured After Car Accident On State Road 776 Near Artists Avenue
ENGLEWOOD FL - Florida Highway Patrol has announced that three people are seriously injured and two people are dead after an auto accident in southern Sarasota Monday evening.
According to the report, The first sport utility vehicle driven by a 25-year-old man from Englewood, Florida was traveling south on Indiana Avenue, on the outside lane, north of Artists Avenue.
A second sport utility vehicle driven by a 73-year-old woman from Englewood, Florida was stopped at the stop sign on Artists Avenue, west of Indiana Avenue.
The sport utility vehicle driven by the 73-year-old woman entered the intersection in front of the sport utility driven by the 25-year-old man. The front of the first sport-utility collided with the side of the second sport utility.
After the accident, the second sport utility vehicle overturned onto its right side and came to rest on Indiana Avenue. The first sport utility vehicle also came to rest on Indiana Avenue.
The second sport utility vehicle driven by the women from Englewood, Florida died on the scene the passenger of the automobile a 68-year-old woman from Theif River Falls, MN is in critical condition and a second passenger of that vehicle a 68-year-old woman from Grand Forks, ND died on the scene.
The first sport utility vehicle driven by a 25-year-old male from Englewood, Florida remains in serious condition and was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
