Unidentified Man Bicycling Was Killed on 53rd Avenue East In Bradenton Early Wednesday Morning


Manatee County – Florida Highway Patrol has reported that a fatal accident involving an unidentified male bicyclists has occurred at the intersection of 53rd Avenue East and 68th Street East in Manatee County. The collision took place on November 1,2023 at 5:33 AM.

According to the FHP, a Mazda sedan driven by a 35-year-old-man from Bradenton, Florida , was traveling in an eastbound direction in the outside lane on State Road 70, also known as 53rd Avenue East. The driver did not sustain any injuries in the accident.

A bicyclist an unknown male was riding on the south shoulder of State Road 70, in an eastbound direction. Specifics about the pedestrian, such as age and city of residence, remain unknown at this time.

According to FHP, the right side of the Mazda sedan collided with the left side of the bicyclist. As a result of the impact, the rider was separated from the bicycle and came to a final rest within the State Road 70.

The injured bicyclist was immediately transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital by Manatee County EMS. The individual is reported to be in critical condition.

The Florida Highway Patrol is actively investigating the details of this traffic accident. Further updates may be available as the investigation progresses.
