Woman From Sun City Center Seriously Injured In Bradenton
BRADENTON FL - Florida Highway Patrol announced an elderly woman from Sun City Center was seriously injured after a crash on US 301 in Bradenton Wednesday afternoon.
The crash took place as a 92-year-old woman from Sun City Center was driving a sedan westbound on US 301, following a sport utility vehicle driven by a 74-year-old man from Canada, and approaching the intersection with 91st Avenue East.
At 3:50:00 PM, the driver of the SUV encountered slow, congested traffic and reduced speed. The 92-year-old woman failed to slow down and the front of her sedan collided with the rear of the SUV.
The woman was serious injured in the crash, and was transported by helicopter to Blake Medical Trauma Center in Bradenton for treatment.
The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries in the accident.
