Young Man And Woman From Bradenton Die After Motorcycle Crash On 53 RD. Avenue East Friday Night
MANATEE COUNTY - According to the report by FHP, the fatal crash began as a motorcycle driven by a 25-year-old man from Bradenton with a 22-year-old woman from Bradenton riding as a passenger were traveling west on State Road 70 (53rd Avenue East), Approaching Interstate 75.
As the motorcycle was traveling on 53rd Avenue East, a Sport Utility Vehicle driven by a female age 77 from Bradenton, traveling with a 79-year-old man also from Bradenton, was driving at a slower speed directly ahead of the motorcycle.
At 9:44PM The motorcycle encountered the rear of the SUV but was traveling too fast. The driver braked hard attempting to avoid a collision. In doing so the motorcycle overturned onto its side and collided with the rear of the sport utility vehicle.
Both the driver and passenger became separated from the motorcycle.
FHP stated that the driver of the motorcycle (a 25-year-old man from Bradenton) was transported to an area hospital and was later pronounced deceased. The 22-year-old passenger of the motorcycle was fatally injured in the crash, and first responders pronounced her deceased at the scene of the crash.
Authorities have stated that the accident remains under investigation.
FHP stated that the driver of the SUV was not hurt in the collision.
