When someone calls our firm after a crash, their world is often upside down. They may be scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to do next. For many of those callers, the first person they speak with is Bilsy Guerrero — and that first moment of guidance matters.
Bilsy grew up in the Sarasota area after her family moved here from Puerto Rico just before her first birthday. With her mother working as a paralegal, the legal field was always part of her home life. Her mother often said she hoped one of her children would follow in her footsteps — and today, Bilsy carries forward that legacy of service and professionalism.
As a fluent Spanish speaker, she also provides essential support to clients who feel more comfortable communicating in Spanish. For many families in our region, this makes the difference between feeling confused and feeling understood.
In her role on our frontline intake team, Bilsy is known for her calm and organized approach. When a caller is unsure of where to begin, she helps them get oriented, understand what information matters, and feel supported from the very first minute. Her attention to detail ensures our senior partners receive the accurate information they need to move quickly on new cases.
Her work may not always be visible, but it is truly essential. Every day, she helps people through some of the hardest moments of their lives — offering clarity, reassurance, and a steady voice when it’s needed most.
We are proud to have Bilsy as part of the Justice Pays team.
