Parent Checklist: The 10-Second Safety Check

  • Put the phone down.
  • Check your mirrors.
  • Check the backup camera.
  • Look around the vehicle—not only at the screen.
  • Know where nearby children are.
  • Never assume a child stayed where you last saw them.
  • Move slowly only after the area is clear.
  • Follow school and staff directions
