The Florida Supreme Court allows attorneys to represent clients on a contingency fee agreement.
In other words, a percentage of the settlement or recovery we paid to the attorney. This provides victims of some company's negligence the ability to pursue a case. Normally the contingency fee is one third of the amount recovered for the injury victim as well as the cost needed to win the case.
Fees increase if suit is filed and most firms will agree that there's no fee or cost to the client unless there is a settlement for the injured victim.
