Sarasota County – Florida Highway Patrol Has Announced that one person has died after An SUV Collided Into Their motorcycle In Sarasota County On Friday Afternoon.
According to the report by FHP, the fatal crash occurred as a Buick SUV driven by a 26-year-old woman from Venice Florida, was driving southbound on Jacaranda Blvd. in the left turn lane at the interchange with Interstate 75 (Southbound).
At the same time, a motorcycle driven by a 22-year-old man from Nakomis, Florida was driving northbound in the inside lane of Jacaranda Blvd. approaching the interchange with Interstate 75 (Southbound).
At 1:05 P.M. Northbound and Southbound traffic had a solid green traffic signal at the interchange when the Buick SUV turned left into the path of the motorcycle. The right side of the Buick SUV collided with the front of the motorcycle.
The Motorcyclist was transported from the scene of the accident to Sarasota Memorial Hospital (Venice Location) where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
The Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit continues to investigate this fatal crash.
